DESCRIPTION:Three-Day Lecture by Wolfgang Klippel \n\n\n\nSound Quality of Audio Systems – Modeling\, Measurement & Control \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe popular 3-Day Lecture – Sound Quality of Audio Systems will be back in March 2025. The three-day event combines both theory and practice and will take place March 17-19\, 2025\, at the Technical University of Dresden\, Germany. Registration for the lecture is now open for a fee for general admission and is free for students. \n\n\n\nThe 2025 lecture on “Sound Quality of Audio Systems” is presented by Dr. Wolfgang Klippel\, professor at the Institute of Acoustics and Speech Communication. It will give you a deep understanding of measurement and diagnostic techniques used in telecommunication\, automotive\, multi-media\, and professional applications to design small\, light and cost-effective loudspeakers. The content reflects over 30 years of fundamental research by Klippel\, allowing participants to improve their designs and optimize manufacturing processes. \n\n\n\nThe presented content is highly recommended for students of electro-acoustic\, and anyone in the audio industry active in research & development\, manufacturing\, or quality control. “Linear\, nonlinear and time-variant systems with lumped and distributed parameters model the generation of signal distortion. The course makes the relationship between symptoms and physical causes of the distortion more transparent\,” Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Klippel explains. \n\n\n\nThe lecture is divided into four topics \n\n\n\n\nElectro-Acoustical Modeling\,\n\n\n\nMeasurement and Analysis\,\n\n\n\nInterpretation and Diagnostics\, and\n\n\n\nDigital Loudspeaker Control.\n\n\n\n\nKLIPPEL’s experienced development engineers present practical sections to deepen participants’ understanding of electroacoustic measurements on KLIPPEL devices and illustrate theory with industry examples. \n\n\n\nFurthermore\, the popular house party at KLIPPEL headquarters will be also back on March 17\, 2024\, at 6 pm. DESCRIPTION:Wiki.audio: collaborative platform for interactive web-based education \n\n\n\nMalte Kob\, HfM Detmold\, Erich-Thienhaus-Institut \n\n\n\nWednesday\, 19 March 2025 from 14:20 to 14:40\n\n\n\nin Vesterbro (B3M2)\n\n\n\nWithin the “Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre — StIL” Fokus project “Aufbau eines Redaktionsnetzwerks für eine kollaborative\, multimediale Online-Enzyklopädie für Akustik- und Audiothemen” and in collaboration with two DEGA projects we have jointly developed a number of online tools that extend the possibilities of a media wiki towards interactive use of sound synthesis\, scales of various temperament\, multichannel audio playback\, and the inclusion of related acoustic simulation applications. All tools were developed jointly among teachers and students in several academic institutions and were implemented by a professional programmer. Currently\, as a renowned reference for formulae and terms in acoustics\, the “DEGA Empfehlung 101” is being included in a wiki-based format. The content can be used in academic teaching and for course work free of charge. The developed framework is open for professionals\, lecturers and students as new authors. wiki.audio also provides a platform for your existing teaching material using “guided walks” through selected pages. In the presentation some of the interactive features will be demonstrated.
