The first board of directors of the new AES GERMANY section wishes you all a happy and healthy New Year! We are looking forward to setting new impulses in the German regions of our international audio community from 2022 onwards.
“LISTEN – LEARN – CONNECT” are – in short – the main goals of the AES. We aim to deepen all of these 3 points at a regional level, in small to medium-sized get-togethers, if possible in person, but of course also online.
We want to motivate and support members to increase the number of regional events.
In particular, we would like to achieve a diverse spectrum of members, as we believe that interdisciplinary exchange is often a fruitful source of inspiration.
International membership helps establishing contacts with the worldwide AES expert groups (e.g. the official “technical committees”).
This is an open call to companies, institutions and organizations of all kind from the world of audio technology, to manufacturers, studios, solution providers, developers, universities, institutes and communities, to support our work in the newly established non-profit association. Your support could be in the form of dedicated donations or simply by providing us with facilities for a local event. All this based on the premise that everyone involved will take home a lot of new ideas, connections and opportunities from these events.
We will ensure that the periodic activities previously performed by the three German predecessor sections will continue to take place, expanded by new inputs from other regions. This includes, for example, the “Research Colloquium” that has been well established by the AES South German Section for 2 years.
Please feel free to contact us directly via our new email address mail(at)aesgermany.org or through our social media channels to come up with new ideas, even if they may sound radical at first glance. Only together with you can we make a good start in the history of AES Germany and develop it further.
Wishing you all good health in 2022 and lots of fun with your audio projects.
Your AES Germany Board, January 2022
