DAGA 2023, the annual conference for acoustics, was held in the Conference Center Hamburg (CCH) in between 3rd-6th of March this year. There were 14 parallel sessions spread over 2 floors, filled with 529 lectures and 112 posters (a total of 641 papers). The conference was covering a wide range of topics from underwater acoustics to virtual acoustics. There were a total of 1534 participants, including 1411 direct participants and 123 exhibitors.
As every year, there was a social event where participating musicians could jam together, accompanied with delicious food and drinks. During the conference there were multiple excursions organised to various locations including clubs, churches (accompanied by orgel concerts), Blohm+Voss, Airbus and Center of Applied Aeronautical Research (ZAL). It was a great pleasure for us to organise a get-together event on the 7th of March in the Gröninger private brewery, where we had a wonderful time all together – and 20 liters of freshly brewed Gröninger Pils in wooden barrels. AES Germany would like to thank all the guests and supporters that joined us in this joyful evening.
